StageArts DRAMA.
The stage is our playground; with limitless boundaries. Here in Stage Arts Drama, we believe in cultivating and honing the skills of our actors to make them the best that they can be on the stage. We believe that… "Acting is not being emotional, but being able to fully express emotion." - Kate Reid In SA Drama, we use the six elements of drama to prepare our actors for the stage. The six elements are: Blocking, Voice Projection, Eye Contact, Characterization, Creativity, and Improvisation. Each element is equally important and is instilled in all of our members through games, exercises and assessments. Drama would not only be thought by the students themselves, but once in a while, external instructors would be invited in to give our members more exposure to what it means to act on stage. Our members are a fun, creative and talented bunch with a passion for acting, writing and directing. Many came in without experience, but would leave with a rich amount of understanding of acting and the theatre.

Hey ya'll drama people, it's your new ASS HEAD (I mean asst. head) speaking! Hahaha. Well, on a serious note, I would like to express my gratitude and honour for being (one of the two) chosen to lead drama next year. First and foremost, to my Year 1's (or should I say soon-to-be Year 2's). I know that there is still a lot of catching up we can do, as I have not been working very closely with you guys the past year. However, in due time, I hope, we will get to know more about each other, and I bet that together with your new Head of Drama, Sarah Jane, we will be able to lead you all to greater heights. *cues inspirational music* Next, to my current batch of Year 2's (or should I say soon-to-be Year 3's). I don't know what more I can say. I have been enjoying every single moment that i've had working with you guys the past two years, and I hope that that remains the same for the upcoming year. The both of us (Sarah and me) are looking forward to working closely with you guys, especially those in the Committee. Again, I hope all of you will still support us and come for drama sessions. If not we'll both be very paranoid (inside joke). So do come for this Saturday's drama session, as we have something special planned for you (for more information refer to Sarah Jane's blog post).
