StageArts DRAMA.
The stage is our playground; with limitless boundaries. Here in Stage Arts Drama, we believe in cultivating and honing the skills of our actors to make them the best that they can be on the stage. We believe that… "Acting is not being emotional, but being able to fully express emotion." - Kate Reid In SA Drama, we use the six elements of drama to prepare our actors for the stage. The six elements are: Blocking, Voice Projection, Eye Contact, Characterization, Creativity, and Improvisation. Each element is equally important and is instilled in all of our members through games, exercises and assessments. Drama would not only be thought by the students themselves, but once in a while, external instructors would be invited in to give our members more exposure to what it means to act on stage. Our members are a fun, creative and talented bunch with a passion for acting, writing and directing. Many came in without experience, but would leave with a rich amount of understanding of acting and the theatre.

Memorise your scripts BY NEXT MONDAY July 6 - Scenes 4,5, 6 July 7 - Scenes 4,5, 6 July 8 - Scenes 4,5,6 July 9 - Scenes 7 July 10 - Scenes 7,8 July 11 - Scenes 4- 8 July 13 - Scenes 7,8 July 14 - Scenes 8 July 15 - Scenes7,8 July 16 - Scene 10 July 17 - Scene 10 July 18 - Scene 7 - 10 July 20 - Scene 7 - 10 July 21 - Scene 11a + 11b July 22 - Scene 11a + 11b July 23 - Scene 11a + 11b July 24 - Scene 12 July 25 - Scene 12 July 27 - Cleaning up of Scenes 1-6 July 28 - Cleaning up of Scenes 7 - 12 July 29 to August 7 - Full Run Throughs. Note to the props, publicity and costume teams. We will be calling some of you guys down for some of the rehearsals. So please check your phones regularly!
