StageArts DRAMA.
The stage is our playground; with limitless boundaries. Here in Stage Arts Drama, we believe in cultivating and honing the skills of our actors to make them the best that they can be on the stage. We believe that… "Acting is not being emotional, but being able to fully express emotion." - Kate Reid In SA Drama, we use the six elements of drama to prepare our actors for the stage. The six elements are: Blocking, Voice Projection, Eye Contact, Characterization, Creativity, and Improvisation. Each element is equally important and is instilled in all of our members through games, exercises and assessments. Drama would not only be thought by the students themselves, but once in a while, external instructors would be invited in to give our members more exposure to what it means to act on stage. Our members are a fun, creative and talented bunch with a passion for acting, writing and directing. Many came in without experience, but would leave with a rich amount of understanding of acting and the theatre.

Hey guys! For those of you who are coming for rehearsals this Wednesday. The venue will be confirmed tomorrow during the CAMP MEETING. Rehearsals will start at 7 pm. You guys can bring and eat your dinner while waiting for me to arrive. For those in the props, costumes and publicity committee, please don't be too disheartened about not getting a role in production! You guys will still be there on stage because we would need a lot of other supporting casts. We believe that in a play, the nitty bitty details, no matter how small the part may be, is as important as everything else. And there are other performances lined up for you guys. There's still lunch time performances and of course the Jurong Point performance (this is very hard to come by) So yea, work hard in you respective roles guys! We'll make this production a GREAT SUCCESS! Please gather at the DOME (The venue of Stage Arts Night) at 6.00pm TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY). This meeting is COMPULSORY. Attendance will be taken. This is on request by the PRESIDENT (Yatassha) of Stage Arts. Please message Kaye or I (Ilham, SC...Super Catfish) if you cannot make it. Even if you are NOT GOING for camp, you are REQUIRED to ATTEND the MEETING. The ones ATTENDING, please bring along $10 for the STAGE ARTS CAMP SHIRT. For the ones who are in other departments and have paid to your respective heads, INFORM US TOMORROW. Anymore questions okay? =).
